Description
The Exodraft chimney fan RSV is an exhaust fan built with a strong vertical discharge.
As the chimney fan is mounted on top of the chimney, a vacuum is created in the flue pipe and the chimney. The chimney fan can be used for all types of fuels but is particularly suitable for solid fuel boilers, fireplaces and stoves.
The chimney fan is part of an exodraft system and must be connected to an exodraft control.
Design
Exodraft RSV chimney fans are designed so that they can withstand temperatures up to 250°C while maintaining continuous operation. The chimney fan is made of cast aluminium; all screws and bolts are made of stainless steel.
The chimney fans RSV009, RSV012, RSV014 and RSV016 are equipped with a stainless steel axial impeller.
The chimney fans RSV250, 315 and 400 are equipped with a centrifugal impeller made of cast aluminium and are typically used for larger systems where multiple fireplaces are connected to the same chimney.
The motor is an enclosed heat-resistant asynchronous motor with permanently lubricated ball bearings, which is protected from the flue gas.
A special cooling vane wheel and cooling air slots safely ensure continuous cooling of the motor.
The cable is heat resistant and strain relieved and protected by a reinforced hose casing.
All of these combined give the chimney fan high operational reliability and a long service life.
The chimney fan is hinged, which means the chimney sweep has easy access to sweep the chimney. A protective stainless steel grille is mounted to prevent contact and stop birds from entering the chimney.
